Together with consulting services
we offer a product that implements our Web space analysis
methodology and provides the tools to create, analyze and
monitor online ecosystems effectively. Below is a list
of the product features and functions.
| Discovery
|
An ecosystem map (set of web sites and their relationships)
is automatically generated by the discovery process.
In this phase, multiple user defined criteria based
on search keywords and URLs are converted into many queries
to various search engines.
Using a proprietary algorithm,
all search query results are processed, aggregated and
combined with sites traffic data and metadata to generate
an ecosystem.
|
| Data Acquisition
|
During the discovery process an ecosystem database is
created to hold data from multiple data sources for each site:
site metadata is collected from the sites home pages,
traffic data is collected from a third party source and
relationship data is collected from
the search engines. The generated database is
used later on during the analysis phase.
|
| Relevance Index
|
While few products in the market attempt to calculate
an absolute measure of rank, Ecosystema provides a relevance
index that is relative to the discovered online space.
The relevance is calculated with a proprietary algorithm
and includes many metrics such as traffic change,
reference count, discovery level, etc.
When we want to measure site positions within
a specific ecosystem (e.g. women health) our
relevance index is more precise than any
other metric available today in competitive products.
|
| Summary
|
Ecosystem data is aggregated, summarized and displayed
in few key tables out of the box which allow quick
understanding and interpretation of the data.
Examples are Best movers by relevance
and Best movers by global reach (%) change.
|
| Analyze
|
The analyze functions allow to slice and dice an ecosystem
according to various criteria. Search
is used to select sites
with specific keywords in their URL, meta keywords
or meta description. The averaging period
controls how site metrics are averaged, e.g. over
3 months, 1 month, etc. Additional controls allow
to sort and filter the result set.
|
| Navigation
|
It is not easy to find your way in an ecosystem of
hundreds of connected sites. Ecosystema provides
a powerful navigation system that displays any part
of the ecosystem at any level of detail and scale.
Color codes are used to identify site traffic and
relevance, while shapes identify how
sites were discovered, so
that sites and relationships of interest are
found quickly.
More about navigation is available in the
Help.
From the main navigation system it is easy to drill
down into a site metadata and
traffic details such as traffic contribution by country
or by subdomain, etc.
|
| Web Based Access
|
Ecosystema is provided as an online service. Single user
as well as Company accounts are available. User
rights and ability to access features are controlled
by the user role, so that analysts, managers
and administrators can easily collaborate to
create, analyze and monitor many ecosystems.
